Journeytime
Gloucester to Utrecht by road and sea
The Rehersal
Before departure I'd the honour of seeing the band rehearsing in
their Gloucester studio. Sounded good!
The road to the coast
We drove out of Gloucester in the still of the night, and had the road
to ourselves as we climbed the steep flanks of the Cotswolds just behind
the town. From the hilltop the road ran steadily south east, we sped on
through the darkness as faint sliver of the waning crescent moon hung
high in the eastern sky, and the first hint of false dawn touched the
distant horizon.
Sunrise over Kent
The road (and railway) to the coast
The white cliffs behind the port
Call the ships to port?
Our ship, the Maersk Dover, at rest
A passing tanker
A Seafrance ship in the next dock
I wonder where that little door
(between the 'F' and the 'O') leads to?
The loading ramps
Into the bowels of the ship
On board the Maresk Dover
Across the sunlit sea
Some dodgy people on the deck below
Dover Harbour Patrol
Wheee!!!
I know they have a serious job to do,
but that looks like fun, too.
Now those are what I call ropes!
Aparently this dock was built
by giant mice from Switzerland
Departing the dock
Dover Castle
Clearing the harbour
Uh-oh, did we wake them up?
Farewell to England!
The world's brightest outfit?
He'd fit right in at a cyber gig!
It's that boat again, they're following us...
Everywhere we looked there were ships
There's one!
There's another one!
Ramming Speed! Arrghhh!
By road through Europe
