Soon enough Martina joined us, prompting Tony to recount one of the band's early gigs in Germany, the security for which was provided by the local chapter of the Hells Angels. Shortly before the climax of the gig, the Angels found they weren't going to get paid, at which point they all simply melted away, leaving thousands of people in the middle of Germany with no stewarding whatsoever. A mini-riot broke out as the headline band finished their set, fortunately Inkubus Sukkubus themselves had already packed up their gear by this point, and the gig was finally broken up by the German army who waded in with battens to disperse the drunken crowd. Meanwhile, it turned out that no-one other than the headline act had been paid, leaving Tony and Candia to pay their bus driver themselves before he'd drive the coach away from what was left of the venue. At least the gigs the band play nowadays don't end like that!
After a pleasant afternoon of drinking and tale-telling, we all wandered off on our own for a bit, an excuse to visit the Bazaar and add those finishing touches to tonight's outfits. On the way down into the Spa I found a couple of familiar faces from Leeds, Skippy and Michelle, enjoying the view and being menaced by the gulls...
The coven gathers...
Friends await!
