Despite fifteen years of live experience, the band still treat each and every gig as a special occasion, and there's a tangible air of "whew, we dd it!" noticable backstage after each performance. They never ever take the fans for granted, which goes some way to explain the incredibly loyal worldwide following they've built up over the years.

Tony greets Martina, a long-time fan of the band, who'd made the trip from Germany to Whitby just to see tonight's performance, while Trevor and Jo Hampshire, dark queen of Whitby and the lady who started the whole event back in 1993, and still runs it to this day, discuss methods for dealing with troublemaking non-Goths. "Off with their heads!"

At some point Martina and Candia came up with the idea of swapping boots, Martina trying on Candia's 5" heeled stage boots while Candia herself strode arround the venue in Martina's New Rocks, like some later-day avenging Valkerie, stomping all before her into contrite sumbission (or something like that!).

All too soon it was 2am and time to return to the hotel, where an entirely new kettle of fish awaited nocturnal discovery...
