Journeytime, and Merry Meetings.
Just to be different, I travelled down to London by train this time. The original plan had been to spend the night at Slimelight and wandering round London before returning on the 10:30 train the next morning, though events rather overtook the plan! Meanwhile, here's the beast that was to carry me south, named after a theatre, which seemed somehow apt. "To Camden, James, and don't spare the horses!" |

Of course, travelling to London by Midland Mainline means you arrive in the capital in the spectacular and awe-inspiring Victorian gothic grandeur that is St Pancras station. Could anyone ask for a better place to start?
Camden itself is a fascinating place, you could spend days just exploring the area. Rather than take the tube, I walked from St Pancras up to Kentish Town Road, via the Regent's Canal. On the way I found a community woodland, complete with a perfect place to gather for rituals - all this just a few hundred yards from St Pancras Station itself.
I'd organised an informal Inkubus Sukkubus fan meet-up in The Devonshire for 4pm, soon enough familiar, and unfamiliar, faces began to appear! Included in the gathering were a very nice young couple from Luton who'd stopped me in the street earlier asking if I knew where tickets could be obtained from. I also ran into an old friend, Alezblue, formerly of the Screaming Banshee Aircrew, now both keyboard player for the Chaos Engine, and manager of Sheep on Drugs, and famous for being the blue-haired voice yelling "Lestat!" in "Queen Of The Damned". The Devonshire seriously rocks!
Before we left, Robin, the resident vampyre, who's portrait can be found at the top of this page, stamped our hands so we'd all get back in again after the gig. After which, it was time to enter The Underworld!
